First we placed the leaves in the sand with the veins facing up. We wore gloves to protect our hands, then we scooped up the cement and put it on top of the leaves. D3 thought the piles of cement looked like cow pats!
Then, we left them to dry...

Making our leaf sculptures
D3 had to choose leaves with big veins for our sculptures. I wonder why?
First we placed the leaves in the sand with the veins facing up. We wore gloves to protect our hands, then we scooped up the cement and put it on top of the leaves. D3 thought the piles of cement looked like cow pats!
