Happy Diwali from D3

Happy Diwali from D3!

D3 learnt that people celebrate Diwali by dressing up in new clothes or their best outfits, lighting up diyas inside and outside their houses, participating in prayers and having fireworks. After fireworks, people have a family feast and have sweets. D3 watched a video clip about the story of Rama and Sita and learnt the meaning behind Diwali. It shows the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.

D3 celebrated Diwali by making and decorating paper diyas. We had lots of fun!

    A6 enjoyed watching your clip about Diwali. We liked the colourful presentation and thought the music matched nicely. Your diya's were beautiful.
